WoW is dipping into the world of eSports with the competitive 2008 World of Warcraft Arena Tournaments.

It'll use the MMO's Arena PvP system, with tournaments taking place in dedicated realms where players can instantly create level 70 characters decked out with epic gear.

Over $200,000 in cash prizes are up for grabs, Blizzard says.

The tournament kicks of in April, with two rounds of online qualifiers in Europe, South Korea, North America, and the regions of Taiwan, Hong Kong, and Macau.
